We are excited to announce the inaugural Australian Food Science and Technology Week, running from 2–8 June 2025!This new initiative aims to raise awareness of food science and technology and highlight the vital role food scientists and technologists play in shaping a safe, sustainable, and innovative agrifood future. Awareness of food science and technology as a career is sometimes under-recognised among high school and university students, with many unaware of the diverse and impactful opportunities in the field. Throughout the week, we’ll be exploring what food scientists and technologists do, the career pathways available, and the exciting opportunities to make a difference. The week will also highlight AIFST’s role in supporting food scientists and technologists and the benefits of being part of our community.
