AIFST Queensland Branch - Food Safety and NPD Workshops
Food Safety Workshop - Morning session
Food safety is vital for protecting public health, preventing diseases, maintaining consumer confidence, complying with regulations, minimizing economic losses, and facilitating international trade. It requires the collective effort of governments, food producers, suppliers, retailers, and consumers to ensure that the food we consume is safe and of high quality.
All members of the agri-food supply chain have a responsibility in delivering safe food. Keeping up to date with the latest food safety information is important.
New Product Development (NPD) Workshop - Afternoon session
Innovative businesses thrive by understanding what their market wants, making smart product improvements, and developing new products that meet and exceed their customers' expectations.
Your business may need to engage in this process due to changes in consumer preferences, increasing competition and advances in technology or to capitalise on a new opportunity.
The process of bringing a new product to the marketplace is a team effort and the role of food science and technology is important.
