AIFST Student and Graduate Member Catch Up

AIFST regularly networks with our students and graduate members in a zoom call as an opportunity to hear directly about what we are doing and how they would like to further benefit from their membership with AIFST.

Our first student meeting of 2021 was held in March where a host of AIFST student and graduate members were able to come to meet each other as well as a couple of AIFST staff members. We discussed various elements of the benefits of an AIFST membership including webinars, events, student summer schools, CPD programs, the AIFST convention, the AIFST student product development and poster competitions etc. Many students in the meeting were unaware of the vast opportunities there are within AIFST for students and graduates.

In our upcoming meeting, we will follow on from this discussion and hear the feedback students have to give about the opportunities already set in place whilst also hearing of any recommendations for additional support that AIFST can provide. Members of our NSW branch committee will be in attendance to explain what their role is in supporting the institute.

Students will be required to register for this event, with the session being conducted utilising the virtual meeting platform zoom.
