Join Kim Tonnet as she presents an overview of the updated The Food Industry Guide to Allergen Management and Labelling (published October 2019) and related resources, focusing on what’s changed from the earlier edition. Content includes managing changes to the allergen status of a product, differentiating between similar products with different allergen contents, managing allergic consumer contacts and unique requirements. She will also cover upcoming changes to allergen labelling and allow time for questions and discussion.
About the presenter: Kim is a Food Science graduate from UNSW with over 20 years experience working in FMCG. Her past roles have included quality assurance, research and development and product marketing before she became a regulatory specialist covering food, cosmetics, household cleaners and therapeutics. She is currently the Regulatory Manager for the Australian Food and Grocery Council, which advocates for and supports the food and grocery industry within Australia.
